This stunning lady is Liza Dunning. As one of the founding members, she’s a real O.G. here at Scoutmob—and not just because she can rap every lyric of this song. Liza is officially the Editor of Chiefdom and the Brand Champion of the company, even coining the catchy Scoutmob name.
Who needs caffeine when you have live music to get you through your hump day? A post-lunch, surprise concert from Radio Birds was just what we needed to perk up our work day here at HQ.
From impromptu concerts to amazing work spaces, we can all agree that a unique environment is a must in today’s tech startup world.
The Carl Sagan vs Black Dynamite Situation left everyone wanting more cosmic funk, so here it is.

Sweet potato with torched marshmallows, pecan whiskey and black raspberry corn — sounds like a Thanksgiving feast to remember, right? Not quite.
These are just a few of the many munchable ice cream flavors that will be available at the new Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams scoop shop opening up next week in Atlanta’s Westside Provisions District.
Come on out to Scoutmob HQ tomorrow (10/17) at noon to whet your appetite with a free scoop of this cool, creamy goodness. EVERYONE is invited. Yes. We said everyone.
Meet Kimberly Coburn of The Homestead Atlanta. She’s the latest Maker to stop by HQ and share all that she’s up to with her awesome classes (beer making, man camping, urban foraging, anyone?) as well as what the $&#% a serviceberry is and how to make jam from berries you find. (As pictured above.)
She’s one all-round awesome chick—and we were pretty much fascinated by her ideas, her story, and her passion to make these really interesting, all-encompassing educational classes accessible to all of Atlanta.
So a big ol’ SCOUTMOB THANK YOU to Kimberly for stopping by… and for the delicious jams and BACON caramel popcorn. #NOMS
If you’re in Atlanta and wanna check out the new classes coming up at Homestead (hint: You most definitely do), you can find those here: http://thehomesteadatl.com/upcoming-classes/

Here’s to the Makers….
Zach Meloy of Pushstart Kitchen graced us with his presence, his story, AND his delicious homemade MOONSHINE last week to kickoff our Maker Day series.
Big high-fives to Zach and his wife Cristina on realizing some major dreams — they kicked ass on Kickstarter — raising about 125% of their goal funds to open their new restaurant, Better Half.
Check out what Pushstart Kitchen, er, Better Half is all about on their site….
MEET OUR WINTER INTERNS!
It may have taken an extra minute to get their faces up on this blog… mostly because commissioning such a complicated portrait* of these mobsters can take a little bit longer than the average iPhone photo.
Not to mention, they’re a busy bunch… so they rarely sit still long enough for the artist to really get it down.
In all seriousness, this group has so far proven to be one hard-working, fun-loving, awesome group. We’re lucky to have them their varied talents (and the baked goods they keep showing up with) here on Intern Island.

We started a new monthly “thing” here at Scoutmob HQ: a festive group “thing” that incorporates a handful of all of our favorite past-times—eating, exploring, celebrating local.**
We’re calling it #LocalLunch (and, yes, all titles these days should start with a hashtag) and for our very first one, we head to Hudson North, a pop-up restaurant by the good folks over at Cypress Street.
Rumor on the street was that our friends from Warby Parker were in the area with their big yellow bus showroom, so we decided to stop by and say HEY! And try on some glasses. Since, you know, half of us are decked out in WPs on the daily anyway.
**Contrary to the serious looks on the mugs you see above, the lunch was actually all things delightful and fun.
